Sandy Remodel Update: From Demo to Rebuild: Bringing the Vision to Life

The dust has settled, literally. Our Sandy remodel has officially moved past the demo phase, and we’re stepping into the most exciting part of any project: the rebuild.

Every renovation has a rhythm. First comes the chaos of tearing down old walls, removing outdated finishes, and uncovering what’s behind the surface. Then comes the quiet but critical phase, the “behind-the-wall” work, where plumbing, electrical, and framing all come together to create a solid foundation. It’s not always the most glamorous stage, but it’s what ensures every light switch works perfectly, every faucet runs seamlessly, and every space functions exactly as it should.

Now, that foundation is complete and the real transformation begins.

This home has already seen some major progress. We’ve installed brand-new windows throughout the entire house, flooding every room with natural light and improving both efficiency and comfort. On the exterior, the transformation is just as dramatic, new paint, updated stucco, and subtle architectural changes have completely refreshed the curb appeal, bringing the home up to date while keeping its original character intact.

Out back, we made the decision to completely remove the old deck, it had served its time, and are preparing to rebuild a new, modern outdoor space designed for both relaxation and entertaining. The new deck will seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor living, creating the perfect backdrop for morning coffee, family dinners, or Utah sunsets.

Inside, we’re now turning our attention to rebuilding. Cabinets are being designed, walls are taking shape, and the home’s true personality is beginning to shine through. Each detail, from wood tones to tile layouts to trim selections, is intentionally chosen to reflect the homeowners’ vision for a warm, functional, and timeless space.

Our team has loved watching this project evolve from sketches and inspiration boards to something tangible. There’s something special about seeing a home stripped down to its bones and then slowly rebuilt into a space that feels entirely new, yet deeply personal.

As we move into this next stage, we’ll be sharing progress updates, design details, and behind-the-scenes moments as this Sandy remodel continues to come to life.

Stay tuned, the best part is just beginning.

Follow along for more updates as we turn this vision into a finished home, one detail at a time.
